Eight Ways We Finish a Uniform.
- 01 Embroidery Professional embroidery for uniforms, outer carriers, outerwear, PT gear, and accessories. Names, ranks, department identifiers, and custom text to department specifications. We maintain an extensive in-house library of patches for local departments throughout New Jersey. For departments whose patches we do not already have on file, we offer patch digitization and redesign services for a nominal fee.
- 02 Name Tapes & Patches We sew name tapes, rank insignia, department patches, and specialty identifiers onto uniforms and gear. All placement follows your department’s exact specifications.
- 03 Alterations & Tailoring Proper fit matters. Our on-site sewing team provides hemming, waist adjustments, sleeve alterations, and other tailoring to ensure uniforms fit correctly from day one and continue to fit as needed over time.
- 04 Badge & Insignia Placement Accurate placement of badges, medals, ribbons, and insignia for Class A, dress, and patrol uniforms. We are familiar with the presentation standards of departments throughout New Jersey.
- 05 Custom Badges, Hardware & Insignia Atlantic Uniform can source and produce custom badges, hardware, and insignia through our trusted network of US-based vendors. Whether you need a single custom badge or a department-wide production run, we can quote and manage the entire process.
- 06 Body Armor Carrier Customization We provide custom embroidery, name tapes, and identifier panels for outer carriers and vest covers. All carrier work is completed in-house to ensure consistency across your department.
- 07 Honor Guard & Dress Detailing We specialize in Honor Guard uniform preparation, including precise embellishment placement, medal and ribbon mounting, and the exacting details that formal uniforms require.
- 08 Department-Specific Customization Every department is different. Whether your agency has specific collar requirements, unique patch placement, or custom insignia needs, our team will work to match your exact specifications.
What We Can Do On the Spot.
Some services can be completed while you are in the store, including hemming pants, sewing patches on hats, patch swaps, and adding velcro to badges or name tapes. For alterations and more involved work, there is typically a short wait. We are always happy to accommodate same-day requests when we can, and improving our turnaround capacity is an ongoing focus.
Customization on Items You Bought Elsewhere.
In many cases, we can provide embroidery, patches, alterations, or other services on items you purchased elsewhere. Please bring your items in for our team to evaluate. There is an additional fee for work on outside items, and items purchased at Atlantic Uniform are prioritized for completion.
